1950
A typical leather satchel of the 50’s: fairly heavy and with not much space. Special wearing comfort (e. g. padded straps or an ergonomic back) as well as safe equipment (e. g. retro-reflective or fluorescent material) was not given in those days.

1975
With the implementation of the Scout brand in 1975 the leather satchel is replaced overnight. Scout offers more volume but less net weight, higher wearing comfort and safety features like fluorescent fabric and locks with cat eyes.

1986
In collaboration with the Alfred Sternjakob company the first DIN for satchels is disbanded. Shortly afterwards the first Scout according to DIN 58124 is introduced on the market with retro-reflective areas which reflect direct light into the dark.

1997
The Scout Maxi is the first satchel in rucksack design and was the pioneer for a long-standing trend to this day. It is also awarded with the international Red Dot Award. Of course it also fulfills the high requirements according to DIN 58124 and is therefore one of the safest satchels up to date.

2001
2001 the Easy I is introduced on the market, a modern reinterpretation of the classical Scout design. With an organizer, a mobile phone case and a partitioned inside pocket, the Easy also sets new standards for satchel equipment.

2002
Easy II follows one year later with a slimmer body and additional side pockets. Narrow children especially like them and is to this day one of the most successful Scout models and was recently awarded as the test winner for the second time by Stiftung Warentest.

2006
The Scout Mega is a light satchel with a lot of volume. Thanks to an intelligent layout it represents the successful composition of uncompromising safety, ergonomics, function and style.

2009
School beginners are getting even younger: and Scout also has the right satchels for the smallest school starters: Scout Nano. The new compact satchel in a modern soft form thrills through a high wearing comfort and clever details.
